Vinayaka Mission's Kirupananda Variyar Arts & Science College (VMKVASC), a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem, serves for the rural society by offering top quality education and inculcating research and development attitude among the student community. VMKVASC was started in the year1995 as an affiliated under the University of Madras. Later, it was affiliated to Periyar University, Salem in the year 1997.

VMKVASC became a constituent college of Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem in in the year 2004. Currently, the Institution offers 12 Under Graduate Programmes, 5 Post Graduate Programmes. The Institution is ISO 21001:2018 Certified Institution and recognized as top performing nodal centre for Virtual lab. The Institution has constituted Rural Entrepreneurship Development Cell and serving the rural community for the betterment of their business or enterprises by providing the technical knowledge. VMKVASC is collaborating with Institutions of National Importance (INA) for enhancing research and development activities.
