Employability skill development

Employability skills are transferrable abilities that can be applied in nearly any job setting. They entail the development of expertise, a knowledge base, or a way of thinking that makes the student more appealing to potential employers. Employability skills are also referred to as employment skills, soft skills, work-readiness skills, or foundational skills in various contexts and situations. They frequently help students to improve their performance, reduce errors, and collaborate with their coworkers, allowing them to be more effective in their jobs as a result of their efforts. As a result of the difficulty in teaching employability skills compared to job-specific skills, employers place a high value on them. Some employable characteristics are innate, while others can be learned through education, work experience, or daily practice (e.g., leadership).
