Dr. V.
Anbazhagan is a distinguished academician and researcher in the field of
Chemistry, currently serving as Professor of Chemistry and Principal at
Vinayaka Mission’s Kirupananda Variyar Arts and Science College, Vinayaka
Mission’s Research Foundation (Deemed to be University), Salem, India. He holds
a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Bharathidasan University and has over 15 years of
experience in teaching, research, academic leadership, and institutional
development.
His research
expertise spans photochemistry, fluorescence spectroscopy, green synthesis of
nanomaterials, photocatalysis, solar energy conversion, and biomedical
applications of metal oxide nanoparticles. He has authored 38+ research
publications in reputed international journals, one of which has received over 200
citations, with a total of 270 citations and an h-index of 8 (Scopus). He has
also contributed a book chapter published by Springer Nature and holds two
copyrights related to ZnO nanomaterials.
Dr. Anbazhagan
has successfully guided three Ph.D. scholars to completion and is currently
supervising doctoral research in advanced functional materials and energy
storage devices. He has received multiple research grants and conference
funding from national agencies such as DST, CSIR, AICTE, ANRF, MSME, EDII, and
TNSCST, and has played a pivotal role in establishing business incubation,
entrepreneurship development, and virtual laboratory initiatives.
An active
academic leader, he has organized several national and international
conferences, including the prestigious Indo–South Korea–Thailand International
Conference series on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (iNEEBA). He has delivered
numerous invited lectures on photochemistry, research methodology,
entrepreneurship, and innovation, and has received several accolades including Young
Faculty Award and Best Teacher Award.
He has also been
invited as a Visiting Professor at Gyeongsang National University, South Korea,
reflecting his strong international academic collaborations and global research
engagement. He also has been collaborating with Department of Chemical
Engineering, Chulalongkorn University for collaborative research and student
exchange.
